Smooth as Hell

Smooth as Hell is an interactive projection where users can connect with magma. Though this installation, I wanted to oppose our conception of hell with very smooth graphics. The idea was to create a mysterious and curious universe instead of a scary and aggressive one. To do so, I used Ray-marching inside Unity, a special way of rendering content which allowed me to merge shape and give the cartoonish feeling of lava. Users can create geysers of fire and change the state of the magma. they can also control two ball of lava which produces 3D spatialized sounds for a more immersive experience. (The music of the video isn't part of the project's sounds experience).
